Rivarossa Botanicals.
It’s All In The Name.
Rivarossa Botanicals is a small business based in Australia that specializes in natural dyeing and eco printing. Our journey began in Northern Italy, where the name Rivarossa - meaning 'red river bank' - inspired our love for natural dyeing. The connection between the natural minerals and plants found around river banks and the beautiful color red found in natural dyeing caught our attention. We started experimenting and learning about natural dyeing and eco printing, and soon discovered the meditative and therapeutic benefits of the creative process.
At Rivarossa Botanicals, we are passionate about using locally sourced ingredients, including native Australian plants like the Eucalyptus Camaldulensis, commonly known as the Red River gum. These trees can be found growing near river banks in Australia, making them a perfect ingredient for our natural dyeing process. We carefully select the plants and flowers that we use in our work, foraging for them in the Australian landscape. Each piece is unique because it all depends on what is blooming and what plants we find.
Our natural dyeing process involves using plant materials to create beautiful, vibrant colors on fabric. We use a combination of traditional and modern techniques to achieve our results, including eco printing, where we apply natural materials directly to the fabric to create a unique and organic pattern. Each piece we create is one-of-a-kind, and we love the surprise of unrolling the fabric to see the final result.
At Rivarossa Botanicals, we believe in the power of natural materials to create beautiful and sustainable products. Our natural dyeing process is eco-friendly, using no harsh chemicals or synthetic dyes. We are proud to showcase the natural beauty of the Australian landscape and to support local growers and suppliers.
Join us on this path of color and discovery, as we continue to explore the possibilities of natural dyeing and eco printing. With each piece we create, we hope to inspire others to embrace the beauty of natural materials and to make sustainable choices in their own lives.
