Natural Dyeing Workshop In Collaboration with King’s Park & Botanic Gardens

In this workshop, participants will learn:
How to dye fabric using native eucalyptus and banksia leaves, using Peace Silk.
The process of eco-printing to create unique bookmarks with dried flowers.
Experimentation with acids and alkalines to alter flower colours.
Creation of a colour chart to explore colour changes with different substances.
Techniques for painting with flower petals directly onto paper.
The art of tataki zome (flower pounding) to transfer pigments onto paper.
Revealing and modifying naturally dyed scarves, including an option to dip them in iron water for deeper, moody tones.
